AI-driven Research, Innovation, and Talents – “Where innovation meets societal and personal purpose”

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen highlighted artificial intelligence (AI) as a very significant opportunity – if used in a responsible way – in her speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos in early January 2024. We invite a boutique style group of minds* active in AI and internet research again to this inspiring place in the Swiss alps. On 24. and 25. June 2025 participants will exchange on science specific AI challenges based on the European approach to AI and existing national policy papers. We will contribute beyond-the-state-of-art to the further development of solution oriented policies and of research topics for the next EU framework program FP10, as this conference is part of the Next Generation Internet Researchers initiatives of EU Horizon Europe enrichers.ngi.eu and ngi.eu and is following the NGI Forum in Brussels of 19./20. June 25.
At this pivotal moment in technological evolution, #AI Horizon25 offers inspiring elaborating on recent developments in tech and governance, also linked with the US Presidency, key notes and four guided co-creation workshops where thoughts in cutting-edge fields will be collected.

If you register for one day (Tuesday or Wednesday), you will take part in the workshop on that day. If you register for both days, you will attend the same workshop on both days.

* Target Group: Our carefully curated conference brings together distinguished researchers, industry pioneers and decision makers of research funding and performing organizations for two days of transformative discussions. We will collect the input of participants and deliver button-up policy input to the European Union, national parliaments and interested parties. The conference is in principle open to all citizens and parties as it is in great parts funded by the EU and the Swiss State Secretariate of Education and Research (SERI). However, the organizers reserve the right to exclude participants without added value or who are unsuitable. Seats are limited to 250 participants.
The intimate setting of the inspiring Swiss Alps will make strategic discussions pleasant and for keen thinkers of a diverse fields. Bring along your ideas enabling and framing the future highly competitive technology landscape. These ideas will flow into strategy papers provided to decision makers. This is not a glossy but a hands-on event, an excellent opportunity to steer technology for the good of humankind. Be prepared for excellent networking. Together, we make human intelligence rock!
