General Terms of Service for Memberships

This is an addition to our General Terms of Service.

These Terms and Conditions set out what a member (“you”) can expect in terms of services or benefits from MoreThanDigital (“we” or “us”). Likewise, they set forth the rules that you must agree to in order to become a member of MoreThanDigital.

MoreThanDigital is an organization registered in Switzerland with UID number CHE-455.634.239, with registered office c/o Helveticorp GmbH, Baarermattstrasse 6, 6340 Baar, Switzerland.

1. Definition of membership

A “Member” of MoreThanDigital is a person, company or organization that meets the eligibility criteria set forth in paragraph 2 of these Terms and Conditions and has confirmed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility to participate as a member

We operate a membership system based on a contribution (Paid and/or Unpaid). Once you have completed certain activities, you are entitled to become a temporary member of MoreThanDigital. The activities required for this are explained in paragraph 4.

Anyone who meets the required membership conditions is eligible for MoreThanDigital membership.

3. Obligations of a member

Upon acceptance of membership, you will:

Agree to abide by the rules, principles, policies and regulations of the MoreThanDigital Community as set forth. For more information, please see the About Us section of our website.

Confirm your eligibility to become a Member as set forth in paragraph 2 of these Terms and Conditions, and that you will notify us should you become ineligible to do so at a later date.

As set out in our Privacy Policy, you will provide us with the appropriate consent to process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

4. Membership

Membership is in recognition of your contribution to MoreThanDigital.

Individuals: Membership by payment is not required; it can only be obtained by contributing 4 articles per year.

Corporations: Membership by payment is required; it should also be obtained by contributing 4 articles per year

Organizations: A membership by payment is necessary; additionally 4 articles per year should be contributed.

Partners: A membership by payment is not always necessary; corresponding reciprocal services are agreed upon in each case.

5. Advantages for members

Current benefits include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • The right to present yourself on MoreThanDigital.info
  • To publish articles according to the community guidelines
  • Participate in free events and workshops
  • Member communication
  • The right to vote within the community
  • The right to present yourself as a #bethechange member

The benefits are not transferable.

6. Member communication

As a member, you will receive an email bulletin with important information about available internal events, promotions and other information related to your membership.

You will also receive emails from us about your membership, such as reminders to complete necessary services to maintain your membership, or if you are eligible for another membership term, or if your membership has expired.

7. Duration of membership

Membership is for a limited time and renews automatically. Membership terms vary depending on the benefits provided, which are set forth in our Terms of Membership.

Upon expiration of your membership, you will no longer be entitled to the membership benefits set forth in paragraph 5 of these Terms and Conditions, but existing items will continue to be available.

8. Our right to refuse or terminate membership

MoreThanDigital reserves the right to refuse or terminate the membership of any person, company or organization.

9. Your right to terminate your membership

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the MoreThanDigital team. The resignation has to take place at the end of the membership, whereby a two-month notice period has to be observed.

10. Transferability

Membership is not transferable.

11. Questions, comments and complaints

We strive to respond to all inquiries or complaints within five (5) business days. This may be a confirmation that we have received the request and are following up.

12. Deviations

Upon written notice to you, these Terms and Conditions may be amended by us at any time upon the expiration of a 14-day notice period. The most current version of these General Terms and Conditions is binding for all members.
